Blurry Visions by Vegas on Bass: Review

Blurry Visions is the electrifying debut album from Vegas on Bass, an industrial rock force hailing from Bologna, Italy. The title, Blurry Visions, perfectly captures the chaotic yet deeply personal journey that led to its creation—a songwriting process filled with twists, turns, and setbacks that ultimately shaped the band’s raw, unfiltered sound.
In a country where melodic songwriting and mainstream pop dominate the airwaves, Vegas on Bass break the mold with an intense, high-energy approach inspired by the industrial grit of Nine Inch Nails. Their music pulses with struggle and resilience, channeling the ups and downs of the past two years into a sonic experience that’s as cathartic as it is exhilarating.
The recording process was helmed by Alessandro Renzetti and Lorenzo Cosi, who took a dynamic, almost cinematic approach—layering sounds into towering climaxes before unleashing them in explosive bursts of pure energy. Each track unfolds like a chapter in an unpredictable, emotional journey, striking a delicate balance between aggression, sensuality, and moments of unexpected lightness. More than just an album, Blurry Visions is a manifesto of resistance—an urgent call to push through life’s difficulties in search of clarity, no matter how elusive it may seem.

The band was first formed by Adriano Cosi (vocals) and Luca Ferriani (drums) in Bologna in 2022. By 2023, they had taken their explosive live show on the road, culminating in two triumphant performances in London, where they were met with overwhelming enthusiasm. Upon returning to Italy, they converted their garage into a makeshift recording studio—outfitting it with polystyrene and amaranth curtains—to capture the raw intensity of their debut EP, Circle, released in January 2024 and celebrated with a packed show at Bologna’s legendary Covo Club.
The momentum only grew in 2024, with more gigs, festival appearances, and the long-awaited recording of their first full-length album. Now featuring Lorenzo Cosi (guitar and production)—who also happens to be Adriano’s brother—and Luigi (bass), the band has solidified into a tight-knit group of longtime friends, driven by the same hunger and passion that started it all.
With Blurry Visions, Vegas on Bass prove they’re more than just another band—they’re a movement. An unfiltered, defiant burst of sound and emotion, ready to shake up the scene and bring a new, fearless energy to the world of rock.
