Oreaganomics aren’t here to play nice. Hailing from Lincoln, United States, this fiercely independent project is cutting through the noise with And Introducing…..shane!!!, an album that doesn’t just push boundaries—it kicks them down. Released on February 6th, 2025, this record is a defiant, unfiltered response to the struggles of everyday survival.
At its core, this album is a “what the fuck” moment—born out of frustration, exhaustion, and the daily grind of juggling multiple jobs just to get by. The world’s burning, the rent’s overdue, and Oreaganomics are here to put it all into song. Inspired by the sharp songwriting and fearless honesty of Labi Siffre, this album isn’t just music; it’s a statement.
The recording process wasn’t glamorous—this album was crafted in a basement with spotty WiFi, proving that passion beats perfection every time. But despite the rough circumstances, what emerged is a record that is bold, unfiltered, and unapologetically real. There’s no hiding behind overproduction or studio tricks—this is raw storytelling, laid bare.
Oreaganomics aren’t here to fit neatly into a genre, they refuse to be boxed in. The album shifts between biting protest anthems, melancholic reflections, and chaotic, urgent soundscapes that echo the turbulence of modern life. The tracks are pretty protest songs—melodic, catchy, but simmering with unrest. Industry insiders and critics are already taking notice, drawn to the album’s fearless approach and refusal to conform.
If you’re tired of polished, corporate-friendly music and crave something with bite, And Introducing…..shane!!! is the album for you. It’s music for the overworked, the underpaid, the restless, and the pissed-off—a soundtrack for navigating the chaos of modern existence.
It’s daring. It’s authentic. It’s essential.

Do you have an interesting moment or story from your early life that had a significant impact on your journey into music?
Oreaganomics: We all grew up poor in rural Kansas. Did not have lots of access to music that wasn’t commercial. Had to create sounds we wanted ourselves right? This created a lo-fi scene in rural Kansas. That’s our roots
Are there any artists that were influential to your musical journey? How have they inspired your sound as an artist?
Oreaganomics: The concept of early Labi Siffre was an influence of this. We added a “fuck-you” to the oligarch spin but I am pretty sure we could not have done it without his approach to music.
How would you describe your sound to new listeners? What do you think sets you apart?
Oreaganomics: We do what we want as we have no backers and nobody to answer to. Hand Turkey was lo-fi and experimental while this album is cleaner and more produced. It’s pretty but still being labeled art rock which is cool. I like art.
What’s your creative process? Where do you normally start when it comes to writing and recording? Do the lyrics come first?
Oreaganomics: Most times music comes first. With “And introducing…..shane!!!!” we did lyrics first. We honestly were done but then was like “Fuck there is little to no protest music” and “If we’re doing this have to make it digestible.”
Have you had any challenges or adversities in your life that you feel have shaped you as an artist?
Oreaganomics: Cost of living crisis. One of our moms had a heart attack from over working, another had their dad die. That’s life here.
Are there any moments or achievement from your career so far that you’re most proud of?
Oreaganomics: People like this album. That’s new.
Which do you prefer, the creative process or live performance? Or do you enjoy both equally?
Oreaganomics: Creative process. We’re gone enough from home.
Do you as an artist require fans to fully understand your message in each song or do you encourage subjective interpretation from every listener?
Oreaganomics: We want it to be subjective. We don’t usually provide lyrics for this reason. Let us know what you think they are.
Does the political landscape have an impact on your music, or do you keep your personal opinions separate from your work as an artist?
Oreaganomics: Oh it definitely does. We have run afoul of laws here and internationally due to victimless crimes like giving people in Turkey Netflix. Oligarchs are addicted to predatory practices.
