Buckle up, electronic dreamers—Michael Keane, under the cinematic alter ego Textbook Maneuver, is about to launch you on a sonic expedition with his debut album Adrenaline Slip. Think prog-rock nostalgia laced with ambient electronica, brushed with digital stardust and grounded in masterful classical piano roots.

Keane’s background in composition shines—this is the kind of album that builds, flows, and transports. You can feel the meticulous craftsmanship behind every soundscape, yet there’s a freedom here too. It’s not overthought; it’s felt.

The heart of the album? The four-part space suite, affectionately referred to as Space Trip. And trust me—it’s epic.

“Tell Them I’m Not Here (Still in Outerspace)” kicks things off like a slow-mo spacewalk, with psychedelic chill-out atmosphere that feel like floating in stardust. (The video’s already pulling in serious attention with 47k+ views.)

Then we drift into “Spacewalks,” Michael’s personal fave and a lush, pulse-driven piece that toes the line between isolation and awe.

The suite then hits emotional G-forces with “Re-Entry” and “Controlled Landing”—two tracks that feel like falling back to Earth in the best, most cinematic way possible.

You don’t need to be a space geek to feel it. This whole arc feels like longing, freedom, and coming home—all wrapped up in synth textures and shifting tempos.

Scattered throughout the record are three gorgeous little interludes simply titled “Murmur.” They’re like sonic palate cleansers or reflective pauses—ambient moments that reset your emotional GPS before the next act. Michael calls them “meditative bridges,” and they’re just that: quiet little rooms you can step into between scenes.

Apparently, there are lots more “Murmurs” in the vault. And they'll show up in future albums like sonic breadcrumbs.

This isn’t background music. It’s built for headphones, long night drives, quiet rooms, or focused escapes. If you’re a fan of artists like Jon Hopkins, Ólafur Arnalds, Tycho, or even Hans Zimmer, this album will absolutely speak your language. It doesn't yell for your attention—it pulls you in quietly and completely.

And the artwork is as immersive as the music. Everything about this release feels deliberate, textured, and full of heart.

Honestly, Adrenaline Slip doesn’t read like someone’s first album. It’s way too assured, too detailed, too... realised. It feels like the score to a film you haven’t seen but deeply want to live inside of.

Textbook Maneuver has introduced himself not with a whisper, but with a fully formed, emotionally intelligent sonic world. It’s bold, immersive, cinematic as hell—and exactly the kind of debut that turns curious listeners into lifelong fans.

Adrenaline Slip is less an album and more an experience. Put on your best headphones, turn off the notifications, and take the trip.
