“Twilight” - Nadedja

There’s something undeniably magical about the golden hour—the way the light softens, the air stills, and everything feels like it could be a little more possible. That’s exactly the feeling Nadedja captures with her brand new single, “Twilight.”

This isn’t just a song—it’s a heartfelt chapter in a larger story. Brazil-born and now rooted in Newcastle, Nadedja pours her soul into this shimmering piece of alt-pop, marking the first glimpse into her long-awaited debut album due later this year. And if this track is any indication of what’s to come, we’re in for something truly special.

Written during a time of massive personal transformation, “Twilight” is inspired by Nadedja’s move across continents. It’s about building a life in a new country while staying rooted in your heritage. It's soft, soaring, and tinged with just the right amount of bittersweet.

“It’s a beautiful sunny, happy song for me,” she says, “but also deeply emotional and a grateful one.” And that duality shines. You can feel the sunlight in this track—the warmth of gratitude and the vulnerability of stepping into the unknown.

Produced and co-created with Bob Mackenzie (The 1975, James Blake, Anne-Marie), “Twilight” floats on an ethereal blend of synth textures and smooth melodies, but it’s Nadedja’s vocals that anchor it in something real. Her voice carries joy, ache, and wonder—sometimes all in the same line.

Think Maggie Rogers' earthy pop, Florence’s emotional vastness, Rosalía’s emotional edge, and MPB’s melodic soul—but woven together in a way that feels completely fresh. It’s Western indie-pop with Brazilian heartbeats subtly pulsing underneath.

Nadedja isn’t new to the stage—she’s already turned heads at Latitude, Lindisfarne, Hardwick Live, and Dot to Dot, while drawing major support from BBC Introducing, BBC 6 Music, and the PRS Foundation’s Women Make Music initiative. She’s also been selected for the Ivors Academy’s “In the Room”, and was recently highlighted by BBC Look North for the 2025 MOBO x BBC Introducing showcase.

Despite the accolades, Nadedja keeps it grounded. Her music isn’t about industry boxes—it’s about honest storytelling. And in “Twilight,” she delivers that in spades.

“Twilight” is the kind of song that feels like it was made just for you. It’s soft but powerful, emotional but light—a reminder that beginnings can be both scary and beautiful. It’s about letting go, leaning in, and choosing love (even when it’s hard).

So roll the windows down. Let the breeze in. And press play. Nadedja just dropped the soundtrack to your next golden hour.
