eRapWMDX isn’t just making music—he’s building a whole sonic universe. Hailing from the snowy peaks of Colorado, this alternative music innovator is blending cutting-edge production, raw emotion, and tech-driven soundscapes to craft something truly unique. And with multi-platinum producers who’ve worked with the likes of Jimmy Eat World, Plain White T’s, The Unlikely Candidates, and Neon Trees backing him up, you know he’s onto something big.
But let’s get one thing straight—this isn’t your typical alt-rock or electronic project. eRapWMDX is fusing music, engineering, and technology to create something that feels futuristic. It’s about more than just great melodies and infectious hooks (though you’ll find plenty of those, too). This is music designed to pull you in, make you think, and transport you somewhere entirely new—whether that’s deep into the mountains of Colorado or straight into the unknown future.
When he’s not crafting his next genre-bending masterpiece, he’s carving through 12,000-foot peaks, chasing fresh powder while probably dreaming up his next track. That thrill—that rush of speed, adrenaline, and limitless possibility—is exactly what you’ll hear in his music. It’s expansive, boundary-pushing, and just straight-up exhilarating.

Do you have an interesting moment or story from your early life that has had a significant impact on your journey into music?
eRapWMDX: I remember watching the movie Help by the Beatles and after the movie ended I decided I would play guitar, write songs, and perform as I had just seen in the movie. I pestered my mom and dad until they bought me my first guitar. I still have it, a Danelectro. I've seen a picture of Tom Waits with one just like it. Making music has been my journey since.
Are there any artists that were influential to your musical journey? How have they inspired your sound as an artist?
eRapWMDX: I am a huge Elton John fan and have used the Bernie Taupin/Elton John model of song writing ever since I learned their story. I am a huge Alternative Rock fan and try my best to have my songs produced accordingly. My producer is Loren Israel and he is the person who takes my ideas, my words and melodies and turns them into epic anthems.
Off the top of my head my favorite artists rights now are:
MJ Lendermen
Phoebe Bridgers
Billie Eilish
Medium Build
Bon Iver
Goth Babe
Chappel Roan
Sam Fender
Lola Young
Suki Waterhouse
Tame Impala
…..That's enough for now
How would you describe your sound to new listeners? What do you think sets you apart?
eRapWMDX: My songs are the soundtrack for the Quantum Steampunk movement that is emerging now. I want to be the protest music for this era. I call it modern alternative but it always harkens back to familiar sonic territory. My lyrics are compelling and comfortably fit with our current zeitgeist.
What sets me apart is that I sing very clearly and try to make the words distinguishable when I sing them. I want you to hear exactly what I am saying. I challenge my listeners I want you to think hard when I ask things like: Did you take more than you gave? Did you get more than you made?
What’s your creative process? Where do you normally start when it comes to writing and recording? Do the lyrics come first?
eRapWMDX: I typically have two threads going at once. The first is the lyrics and story I want to tell. Whenever I think of or someone says something that sounds like a good lyric I write it down.
For example:
Liquid Lettuce
Risky Sexual Behavior
When did you decide to stop loving me?
She takes pictures no one will see.
My second thread relies on the fact that I am primarily a guitarist so I also always have new melodies and bits that I am creating because I play for hours a day. I am song writing and video creating every day. It is my joy.
Then something sparks and I start putting all the pieces together around the story that I want to tell.
I like to have my listeners really think about what I am singing about and the mood I am trying to create with the melody and the production.
Have you had any challenges or adversities in your life that you feel have shaped you as an artist?
eRapWMDX: I have experienced death.
I had a near death experience.
I died and I returned.
I have not been the same since.
It helped me realize my true purpose was not as an engineer or scientist, it was- I am an audio and video artist and I want to help people survive the profound changes we are facing as technology continues to evolve exponentially.
Are there any moments or achievement from your career so far that you’re most proud of?
eRapWMDX: I think it was when I was approached by Loren Israel, a platinum winning producer, and he wanted to work with me. It was such a great validation that what I was working on had purpose.
Which do you prefer, the creative process or live performance? Or do you enjoy both equally?
eRapWMDX: I enjoy both.
They are such completely different experiences.
Writing and creating a song is a deeply personal, private process. It is when an artist is most vulnerable. I try to make each of my songs the absolute best I can with my current sets of skills. Each one is always better than the last.
Then playing those songs in a live performance is absolutely frightening the first time. If the audience likes it and they respond to you as you perform it, the rush is profound.
Do you as an artist require fans to fully understand your message in each song or do you encourage subjective interpretation from
every listener?
eRapWMDX: I want my fans to create their own personal message. Take mine and bend it to their reality. I want it to provide support, confidence, relief, whatever the listener needs at the moment they are listening. We have so many fists flying at us daily from the media, bullies, takers and haters, we need a distraction and something comforting to guide through the madness. That is why I send my music out.
Does the political landscape have an impact on your music, or do you keep your personal opinions separate from your work as an
artist?
eRapWMDX: Absolutely, I just wish mankind would open its eyes and confront the lies and manipulation being perpetrated by the political theater we are subjected to via click culture. This is not about conservative vs liberal, that is a false narrative. Our common enemy is the ultra rich that control both “sides” and corrupt them equally. Each has their own brand of bigotry and destruction. Our live are their toys.
What are your future plans?
eRapWMDX: I am working on my third album to be called The Observer. Observation is a requirement of reality. Schrodinger's cat stuff. Humans are now playing in the quantum domain. Robotics Nanotechnology and artificial intelligence is growing exponentially and our reality is changing faster than our societal and governance models and support. If we ignore this freight train it is at our peril.
Please excuse me now, I have to go call my daughter to see if she can help me fix my nano-toaster.
Love to all!
