If you haven’t heard of Stone Arch Rivals yet, that’s about to change. This Minneapolis-based band is stepping into the spotlight with swagger, soul, and an irresistible groove with their debut single, “The One You’ll Want Tomorrow.” Dropped on March 28, 2025, via Hygh Tension Records/Virgin Music Group, this track is the kind of feel-good, danceable anthem that gets stuck in your head—and you won’t even mind.

From the first beat, you can tell this one’s special. It’s got that confident strut, the kind of track that makes you walk a little taller and move a little smoother. The rhythm section lays down a tight, infectious groove, while the playful, call-and-response vocals between lead singer Claire Spinti and the band add just the right amount of sass.

Then there’s the horns—courtesy of Ivan Jackson (Brasstracks)—which take the song to another level. They swoop in at all the right moments, blasting through with warmth, swagger, and that extra dose of energy that turns a good song into a great one.

Underneath all the fun, “The One You’ll Want Tomorrow” is a song with something to say. It’s about the push-and-pull between instant gratification and waiting for something truly worthwhile—whether that’s love, success, or figuring out who you really are.

“This song is like a note to my younger self,” says Claire Spinti. “It’s about realizing that the best things in life are worth waiting for—whether it’s love, success, or finding your voice. And if you can dance while you wait? Even better.”

Stone Arch Rivals aren’t just making waves on their own—they’ve got some serious heavy hitters behind them. Their upcoming debut album, "That’s What They Say" (dropping early fall 2025), was produced by Ryan Smith (Soul Asylum, The Melismatics, Ryan and Pony) and recorded at Flowers Studio. And they’ve stacked their roster with some legendary talent: Tommy Barbarella (Prince & The New Power Generation) on the organ & keys. Ivan Jackson (Brasstracks) on Horns. Mixed by Kris Johnson and mastered by Mystery Room Mastering (The Replacements, Johnny Cash).

The members of Stone Arch Rivals aren’t fresh out of college trying to make it big. They’ve lived. They’ve put their music dreams on hold. They’ve had real-life detours—jobs, families, the whole deal. But now they’re back, and they’re making music with renewed passion, purpose, and an undeniable fire. You can hear the authenticity in every note.

To celebrate the release, Stone Arch Rivals are playing at Terminal Bar in Minneapolis on March 28, 2025. If the single is any indication, their live show is going to be one hell of a high-energy, brass-infused, soulful explosion.

If you’re a fan of Lake Street Dive, St. Paul & The Broken Bones, or Nathaniel Rateliff & The Night Sweats, this track is for you. It’s got swagger, soul, and the kind of groove that demands movement.

Stone Arch Rivals have arrived, and they’re not messing around.
