Indie rockers Carrying Torches are back with their latest single, ‘Good in Blue,’ and it’s a beautiful mix of raw emotion, poetic lyrics, and melodies that stay with you long after the music fades. It’s all about love, loss, and those bittersweet memories that never really leave us.

From the opening lines, ‘Good in Blue’ pulls you in. Lyrics like “I saw fireworks at your funeral / Out on the horizon” hit hard, painting a picture of the beauty and heartbreak that comes with remembering someone who’s gone.

The chorus, I feel so good in blue / So good next to you,” sums up the song’s tone perfectly—equal parts longing and comfort, with a touch of introspection that feels personal yet universal.

Recorded at ABG Studios, with production by Seth Henderson and mixing/mastering by Mike at the Foxboro, ‘Good in Blue’ has that perfect mix of polished production and emotional rawness. Frontman Justin Daniel’s knack for storytelling pairs seamlessly with the band’s atmospheric sound.

The song was inspired by the idea that like stars in the night sky, some feelings stay with us forever. “I wanted to capture both the beauty and the melancholy of those moments,” explains Justin. “I hope listeners can find their own stories within the lyrics.”

Following fan-favorites ‘All For Nothing’ and ‘Conversations,’ this latest single cements Carrying Torches as a rising force in the indie scene. Whether you’re a long-time fan or just getting to know them, ‘Good in Blue’ is the kind of song that will leave it’s mark.
