“Lies All Lies” - LED

Meet Layne, Lockett, and Edie Yvonne — three teens who met at a film camp, made a movie, wrote a song, and ended up forming a band. Sounds like a Netflix coming-of-age series, right? But nope — this is real life, and LED is the band. Their debut single “Lies All Lies” is the kind of electrified, angsty, emotional punch that reminds you what it’s like to feel everything all at once.

There’s something refreshingly DIY and fated about this origin story. LED wasn’t cooked up in some industry lab — they were three kids bonding over art, stories, and sound at a summer film camp near Malibu. While working on a short film produced by the PAC Theater, they wrote what would become their very first single.

The result is “Lies All Lies” — an unfiltered indie pop-rock anthem dripping with teenage honesty, cinematic energy, and just the right amount of chaos.

Think early Paramore heartbreak mixed with beabadoobee’s raw bedroom honesty, a splash of Cranberries melancholy, and the fiery rebellion of Hole — all wrapped up in the unapologetic messiness of being a teenager.

“Lies All Lies” feels like dancing barefoot in your backyard with your best friends under string lights.

It’s emotional, it’s loud, and it’s got just the right amount of grit. Edie’s vocals hit like a wave — trembling and powerful — while Layne (who also shares vocal duties) and Lockett deliver that crunchy, garage-born sound that brings it all home. There’s zero polish here in the best way — it’s raw, real, and straight from the heart.

They’re 14 to 16 years old, based in East Hollywood, and already playing L.A. landmarks like The Whisky, Hotel Cafe, and The Mint. They’re Gen Z with guitars, but they’ve got old souls — referencing ‘90s and early-2000s alt-rock without sounding like copycats.

But beyond the sound? It’s the chemistry. You can feel that these three aren’t just bandmates — they’re friends. There’s a real bond here, and you can hear it in the way the instruments and voices wrap around each other.

This isn’t just some sugary teen pop moment. “Lies All Lies” feels like it’s coming from that exact place where you first learned how to feel deeply and hurt loud. It’s about betrayal, trust, and the kind of heartbreak that only really stings when you’re still figuring out who you are.

And LED doesn’t sugarcoat it — they shout it, wail it, and own it.

This is the anthem for kids posting blurry Polaroids, and screaming the lyrics into their hairbrush mirrors. It’s for anyone who ever felt too much and didn’t know what to do with it except turn it into something loud.

“Lies All Lies” isn’t just a song — it’s a statement, a mission, and a warning: LED is here, and they’re not afraid to feel out loud. This is a debut that doesn’t ask for permission — it just kicks down the door, feedback still ringing.

So yeah, start paying attention. LED isn’t just some cute teen band. They’re the start of something real, and if this first track is any clue — they’re about to set fire to a scene that desperately needs their energy.
