Produced in collaboration with Adam Araujo, who crafted the album from a blend of live instrumentation and iPad GarageBand wizardry, the sound is handmade, sometimes lo-fi, but always rich in emotion. Think The Postal Service’s nostalgia, Moby’s ambient spirituality, Beck’s playfulness, and Willy Wonka’s unpredictable magic.

“Give” is the title track and spiritual core of the record. It’s about DaeMarcus’s personal relationship with God. This one carries the warmth of reassurance, like someone quietly reminding you: “You’re not alone. You’re still welcome. Always.”

“Rooftops” – Inspired by the Wonka-vator, of all things, but used here as a metaphor for the highs of success and the reflective moments that come afterward. It’s whimsical and existential—two flavors you don’t usually get in the same track. DaeMarcus makes it work.

Albums made in big-budget studios sometimes lack soul. That is not the case here.

Give was recorded in a home studio in New Bedford with “bare minimal essential studio recording equipment and a lot of time.” That last part is the key. You can feel the care in every track. Nothing is rushed. Nothing feels phoned in. It’s all intentional—even when it’s imperfect, it’s perfect because of that.

There’s no fame-chasing energy here. No ego. No flex. Just one artist offering something real, made with love, for people to carry with them—whether it’s in their headphones during a walk, or during a late-night moment when they just need to feel a little more seen.
