It all started with a loop from Billy Martin’s Loops from the Underground collection—earthy, percussive, a little mysterious. From there, the trio didn’t just play over it—they communed over it. John Medeski brings that signature clavinet crunch and psychedelic organ warmth, firing on all cylinders like it’s 1999 again. Meanwhile, Ari Joshua’s guitar tone is sumptious as always.
