Rising alt-pop rock artist Zoe Warren is stepping into a bold new era with the release of her latest single, “Dangerous Inbetween.” Packed with high-energy guitar riffs, an electrifying solo, and unapologetically honest lyrics, the track perfectly captures Zoe’s evolution as an artist—edgier, more confident, and completely in her element.

Drawing inspiration from icons like Paramore and Avril Lavigne, Zoe brings her signature blend of alt-pop rock energy and raw storytelling to life in this anthem about navigating the grey areas of modern relationships. Produced by Alex Edge in Birmingham and recorded at The Music Farm in Wilton, “Dangerous Inbetween” channels both frustration and freedom, creating a song that’s as empowering as it is infectious.

At the heart of “Dangerous Inbetween” is Zoe’s personal songwriting—she wrote both the lyrics and melody, shaping the song’s emotional core. But the track is also a true band effort, with her talented collaborators bringing it to life. Robert Lambert (bass) laid down a driving, dynamic bassline that became the foundation of the track. Callum Watson (guitar) added shredding riffs and a standout solo that take the song to another level. Andrew Bates (drums) brought in a powerful, punchy rhythm that keeps the energy soaring.

Zoe had a clear vision for the song’s production, and with Alex Edge at the helm, the track builds and builds, capturing the fun yet rebellious spirit of alt-pop rock.

Lyrically, the song dives into the complicated world of situationships—that tricky, undefined space between friendship and something more. It’s about embracing the moment, having fun, and not overcomplicating things, even if it means living in that “dangerous in-between” space.

“The story lyrically is about a friend's with benefits scenario or situationships,” Zoe explains. “It's about knowing that you could be friends forever and nothing more but just having a bit of flirty fun just for now.”

For Zoe, "Dangerous Inbetween" marks a milestone in her artistic journey. It has a bolder sound – this track is grittier and more energetic than her previous releases, pushing her sound in a direction she’s always wanted to explore. It captures real emotions and real situations that so many people can relate to.

“I think this release really feels more like "Zoe" as an artist,” says Zoe. “I think it's edgy, and fun and I think younger Zoe would have been so inspired by this version of Zoe today and loved the sound of this track.”

Whether you’re blasting it in your car, adding it to your breakup playlist, or screaming along at a live show, this is a song that’s meant to be played LOUD.

Zoe Warren is just getting started, and if this release is any indication, there’s a lot more alt-pop rock magic coming our way.
